I mean, a whole city was evacuated. There are massive sky scrapers left sitting there. With the right equipment every room could be explored and we could discover old artifacts. There should still be heaps of stuff there since the people just up and left, leaving many things behind.
If that isn't worth doing I was thinking we could explore the exclusion zone where the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear disaster took place. Tomioka is still off limits as far as I know. Once again, a whole ghost town just left sitting there. This zone might still be too toxic to enter, but Pripyat could safely be explored if we carefully monitored radiation exposure.
