I've seen one chihuahua before that was astonishingly well behaved. I didn't realize how cute they can be when there not being little shits. Still wouldn't get a small dog, personally.
I'm the guy who posted the golden earlier in the thread. She is the sweetest dog I've ever seen and probably the only living creature that is always, always happy to see me. Every morning I feel so guilty going to work because she is sad when I leave. I know it's a meme dog but my vote is for the golden.
Word of caution though, my golden has cancer. It's common in the breed. Might want to avoid if you don't want to deal with the same thing again.
