She can probably do 10 miles like nothing, but it’s probably smart to build up to it. Might be smart to do a couple shorter hikes to see how she is with the cold.
I’ve never had any problem with people on the trail, they mostly just complain online. We have run into unfriendly dogs, but the owners always say something and we just move off trail until they pass. 9/10 people want to play/pet the dog.
Pic related, we did a 15 mile hike in the Idaho panhandle two weeks ago. Outdogs like to dog, yours will be fine.
