>>1278550Not samefag but guy looking at same bag. What does /out/ think of the Osprey Aether AG 70? I need a bag for 3+ day hikes. I want to do some though hikes.
I currently use a 5.11 Tactical Rush 72 bag for overnights and equipment intensive dayhikes. It's sturdy, well made, and large. Pockets for days. My only complaint is I feel like the bag is too big for the suspension system included. It does good to about 25 lbs if you want to hike with it. Honestly, I can fit everything I need for a 3 day minimalist hike in it, but it's just not comfortable fully loaded.
In it's defense, I've brought it with me on the greyhound a couple times and it holds everything I need to travel light.
For dayhikes I carry a small Realtree backpack I bought from walmart. It's set up for a 2L water bladder and I carry some survival basics and lunch. I never carry much in it so it's never really uncomfortable.
