It may smoke marginally cooler, but also moisture tends to collect and gurgle because of the metal body moisture tends to pool and gurgle.
If you’re in a place where it rains a lot (like the pacific NW or northern England) and you want something that won’t get rekt by wet weather they’re awesome. If your local weather is more moderate, a regular pipe works just as well and is cheaper.
