>>2181482Depends entirely on the knife and use. Same with microbevels. Everything but scandi zero is more or less a microbevel by design and those have their own shortcomings. Never mind the convexing most sharpening introduces. 20 is pretty shitty but it’s how you keep a working edge on lower grade steel.
Personally, I’ve come to love the absolutely bizarre finngolian rhombic blades for general outdoor use. They range from a high flat grind, to hollow, to the prow of a boat and sit halfway between a carving and skinning knife. They bite hard and throw chunks of carrot and potato when you slice with them but do just about everything unusually well. The Lauri factory grind takes a less aggressive second place. Would recommend either over a mora any day and you can just barely /diy/ them with minimal woodworking tools.
