Shooting a handgun has more in common with archery than it does with shooting a rifle. It takes a solid year of dedication to even grasp the basics. "Form" is an alien concept to most Western people, we don't even have a good word for it because we've been dependent on technology for so long. The average person can barely keep his shots on a human silhouette at 20 yards with a full size 9mm in slowfire. I kill chipmunks at that range almost every day. I've been shooting for 20 years. It would take me 3 pages to describe my grip and trigger pull. Rotating my wrist 10 degrees changed my life. People use rifles so they can skip years of grueling skill development and ammo bills in the four figures.
