>>2395594>When you're touring do you just ride all day until you find a camping spot or do you leave your bike locked somewhere and go check different cities you cross?I'm not interested in visiting cities, my touring trips always have /out/ in mind. But I do make detours or day trips to cute comfy villages. I'm from Alsace and we are blessed with some of the most beautiful villages France has. A bicycle is the perfect way to travel around these, you can casually ride in these amazing streets and stop where you like.
The only problem is if you want to visit museums or places where you'll have to let the bike outside, out of sight. I can't do this. Too much expensive equipment in the bags, but I don't want to visit such places anyway. The beautiful architecture and nature is plenty enough for me.
Sometimes I do go to places where my bicycle is out of reach like at the top of this castle in the last video, but I can still see it in the distance. I put zip ties on the brakes and drivetrain just in case someone tries to do shit, but the chance of that happening in such places is 0 anyway.
