>>2370273Actually, you make some good points. I didn't stick with my xlite for very long- gave it to my then gf. I'd bought the women's as I was using it in deep winter and wanted the extra R value, but it probably was a bad pick as it was a mummy cut and a little too narrow, not to mention something burst it and we tried all the tricks (bath submerge, soap bubbles etc) and couldn't revive it.
I've since become an absolute UL extremist, I'm talking full koolaid drinker - whittling my spoon to save weight, MYOG pack, poncho replacing puffy and tent etc. It's a fun hobby for me and I do really long days on my treks. So the idea of a 6-700g xlite (i think that's what the long/wide weighs) kinda puts me off when compared to the 2-300g of foam i roll with, but I might have to stop being such a princess if it means getting good sleep. Have you had any luck using torso/thigh length inflatables as a side sleeper?
