As I was a spin cast fisher- rivers for trout, I became interested in fly fishing. I have been fly fishing for a few years now and now use her kit to tie my own. I'm trying to red pill her on tying flies for me but she's not buying it. Now she thinks I got her the shit as a ploy so I can use it. Too funny. I should get her a chain saw next year. When I first started out, I caught some browns and rainbows on dry flies although I didn't know what the fuck I was doing. Most of them were caught while I was untangling my line and the fly sank. I eventually learned how to put the fly where I want, not in the trees and figured out I needed to float the fuckers. Got some of that float goo. Then didn't catch shit. Nymphs is what I need. Ima learn to sink nymphs now. I still bring my spin caster also and toss the fly rod when I don't catch shit and cast worms or spinners to catch something. I see the old men catching fish with flies so I know it's feasible. If anyone can post some nymphs they tie and/or advice about doing so, It will be appreciated. I want to get this fly fishing shit down. When I told my dad I am fly fishing he gave me a look as though I just told him I was gay. “Looks like a lot a work.” I need to catch some fish to red pill the old man.
