>>2320157Oh yeah 33 - no its off of 220 then you take cave mountain rd - a dirt road - there's a little parking area that's a narrow spit of public land between private property u gotta park in then there's a gate and u walk on what musta been an old road and the trail eventually sorta disappears
you could park closer but that would be private property - there were TONS of fallen leaves down when I hiked so that made it take longer and it was sorta impossible to follow a trail beyond a certain point I just knew where the view/rocky outcropping was thanks to alltrails community content section
it's definitely not a parking lot - it's the top of the ridgeline
maybe you are confusing cave mountain with north fork mountain where you CAN park on top of the ridge - that's the ridge in the background of my picture
cave mountain is one ridgeline to the east
u park across from the gate marked "909" as you can see
there's a better view supposedly further to the north on cave mountain (the one they use in the wikipedia page article for it) and I might try to ask permission to hike there someday but that's on private property
