>>582944> 110cc is barely out of moped class, thus crap.If Honda still sold their CT110 trail bikes in the U.S. I would absolutely buy one, as I no longer do any motoing and it's light enough to be carried on a bumper hitch carrier and has more then enough off-road capability for tootling along down two-tracks and fire trails out inna woods, while still being street legal.
> I'm looking at KLR 750 MINIMUM.If you're a hard-core biker that's fine but it's way too big for the average Joe dicking around in the woods.
>>582949> One day while crossing the street with it the cops stopped him.Yup, if it's not street legal, you're going to get busted if you're on a road.
Years back just after MI imposed strict off-roading regulations, a friend of a friend brought his quad Up North camping with us and while he followed the regs about trailering it to the scramble area and only riding on the "orange marker" trails, we were at camp (Huron Nat.Forest) and some other friends set up a horse shoe game about 50-some yards from the camp site.
He tossed a beer cooler on the back of his Honda 200(?) to bring it to the horse shoe area, as it was full of beer and ice and thus heavy and a while later, a Forestry Service officer rolled into camp;
Forestry Service: "Hay guys, how's it going? So, whose quad is that?"
Quad Guy: "It's mine,"
Forestry Service: "As it's not street legal, you can't take it off the trailer."
Quad Guy: "But... but I was just bringing up the beer cooler so we could toss some horse shoes!"
Forestry Service: "Doesn't matter, here's a $250 ticket. Have a nice day."
Quad Guy: "Fuck...."
