It only weighs 10-12ish lbs and I throw it over my shoulder by sticking an umbrella through it or my walking stick. Alternatively it carries like a suit case if you hold it right without coming open.
They don't make these reclining beach chairs like they used to. Now they are thinner wood and probably not made of canvas as mine is. Like a sail level of quality real canvas is.
