>>2476223depends on the axe geometry (which changes how much steel you have to file) and how hard the steel is. The only new axes I've had that take longer than 20 mins to reprofile using a good file are Helko, Ochsenkopf etc. Super thin ones like muller are piss easy.
A big chip in a fat cheeked axe takes too long, i have a makita belt sander that i made a centre point jig for so I can grind racing heads
