>>276264Although you may think that no hard work should go unrewarded, the bottom line is that your belief that you "get plenty of respect from motorcycles" exists entirely within your own mistaken mind. If they are not waving at you, then they have zero respect for you. It goes something like this:
>if the rider is on a cruiser or general style motorcycleto riders on other cruisers/standards: friendly wave or nod, Harley riders have a special two-fingered wave they give to other Harley riders, but most people just have their own style that they make up on the spot
to riders on adventure-touring motorcycles: friendly wave or nod
to riders on sportbikes: usually a friendly wave, more frequently a nod, and sometimes a middle finger
to riders on scooters: nothing, as they are not real bikers
to bicyclists on bicycles: nothing, or possibly laugh at the cyclist's faggoty spandex
to bicyclists on bicycles that are loaded with big panniers, out on a country road, 40 miles from the nearest town: friendly wave
>if the rider is on a sportbikegenerally the same as above, except with reversed animosity toward Harley riders, and they rarely do the two-fingered Harley wave to anybody
>if the rider is on an adventure-touring motorcyclegenerally a little more friendly than the above two, and may wave to scooterists as much as 25% of the time
