>serrated machete means thicker and heavier blade to support it which impairs the use of the machete as it is supposed to be light and thin, i dont know the reasons behind it but basically if the machete is a bit on the thick side its just awful at cutting and the extra weight will tire you out much quicker>the serrated edge will easily get caught on stuff if you are literally bushwhacking and its a bigger pain in the ass than you might think>most machete handles are designed to be used with the flat blade out, actually using the back to saw anything will be bad on your hand plus the serrations are usually too trash to very effectively use>if you try putting the machete into a bag the serrations will catch on literally every fucking thing possiblepic related is the only machete i will ever shill for, but its bulky because shit's wide.
