I was *hoping* it would just knock the thing down outright, but I think I threaded the bullet through it's rib when I got him in the lung, otherwise I think the concussion of hitting bone would've knocked him down. Either way, he bled out pretty quick. I just use the cheapest (but still ~$2.30 a round) Winchester Super-X. Where my stand's at, you'd have to be trying pretty hard to miss so ballistic performance isn't too important to me.

Thing shoots so fucking high, I think they intended it to be a distance shooter on account of the tang sight so I have to aim about an inch low (equates to about 5 inches on the target). You can't set the aperture low enough to shoot on-bead under 100 yards, due to the size of the trapdoor/breech obscuring the front sight. Still very pretty and powerful.
