I've seen some endurance test videos of this thing on youtube. (just goto yourtube and search "Gerber LMF endurance test knife review" or something). it holds up like a champ. these things are tough as hell. they chop wood. puncture and cut through metal, plexiglass, wallboard, etc. etc. the blade is 1/4" thick!
as an overall survival, SHTF utility knife the LMF is a beast. i swear i will own one of these someday. i absolutely think they are worth the money. as soon as i can earmark this kind of money on a knife it will be my next knife purchase
