I picked these over Merrel Moab due to reviews, a lot of people on /out/ suggest Merrel Moabs so I ordered some and checked them out. I do not know how good quality control was with these shoes years ago but I can say that the pair I received felt very cheap given the price. I spent a little more if not the same price as Goretex Moabs for these boots (including 20% moosejaw coupon).
I would definitely recommend these for anyone looking at a 3" boot.
