I very, very much wanted to go to Corsica. My original plan was one week in Sardinia, one in Corsica doing the GR-20 path. But I thought two relaxed weeks in Sardinia would be better than one rushed week in each, and I think it was a good decision.
As for the bread over an open fire, my recipe was self-raising flour, water, a handful of raisins, and a spoonful of butter. It takes practice to get right.
