How feasible is a composting business?
I've been composting for awhile now. It's pretty straightforward: carbon + nitrogen + time = compost. This time of year, there are a ton of brown leaves on the curb. And I imagine that some grocery stores have expired produce that they just throw away. That's the two main ingredients, and they're free (right?). And the bacteria and worms and bugs are also free. But the beautiful black gold sells for a pretty penny. So am I missing anything? (Besides vehicles to pick it up and some place to cook it up?)
