imo the answer is yes. DCF is an awesome material, albeit expensive. If you have the money and want to save weight there isn't a better option. Which DCF shelter is best for your needs is a different conversation. Some climates would let you get away with a tiny tarp like, others would require tired and test weather resistant shape like a mid.
