>>1744514Thats why I said "Most" loomis rods. I know their higher end always used Fuji, I believe even some of their GLX rods use them as well. If I lived in the South like I used too, I'd probably pick up one of those IMX Pro's, but where I live now the bass just don't get big enough.
Everyone's "Fast" action and "extra Fast" are different. I find that Loomis' GLX and above "Extra Fast" to be quite nice, but I've never liked Loomis "Fast" action rods.
I've noticed that their cheaper "fast" and "extra fast" action rods are significantly different and I don't like them at all. This has to do with the quality of Carbon fiber they use in the blank.
Not all blanks use the same carbon fiber material, but they likely get it from the same place (TORAY in Japan). We have no carbon fiber innovation here in the states, and all Carbon fiber fishing industry innovation happens in Japan first. The hot thing right now is the "Nanoalloy" process and its making all the rods, especially UL rods, incredibly strong without adding weight or diameter to the blank.
