>>1542095At this point in time I mostly use Audio-Technica omni mics with a Jecklin disk run into a Tascam DR-70D recorder. I also have a "binaural ball" for fun as well as a stethoscope mic, contact mics, and various other shit. My newest acquisition a year or two ago is a Sennheiser dual shotgun mic which is fucking awesome, but that was right when I started getting crazy busy so only have a couple proper recordings with it (Rain on Warehouse Roof I believe it's called).
I started with just a Tascam DR-40 and gradually added external mics and preamps, until I upgraded the recorder altogether. It's good enough for now but I have my eye/ear on another major mic/recorder upgrade but only after my truck is paid off.
