>>399559My fave are butternut and acorn, but I have limited experience with them because there's so many. They are great roasted and become sweeter when roasted and have great flavor. I do have lots of decorative squashes and when young and their skin can be easily cut with your fingernail they are really good to eat. There are 1,000s of varieties of pumpkin, squash, and gourd. Tons of colors and soooo many different shapes. But, like many of the vegetables you see in the store there are only a very very few that are "mainstream" and available in stores.
