Everyone forgets toothpaste. Do you think you will go to a dentist when SHTF? The most likely situation is economic collapse, where you lose your job so can't afford things like dentist, power bill, mechanic bills etc.
This is something very useful most of you guys may not have heard of, boils water very quickly and efficiently. It's a thermette and is useful when camping, so it won't be money wasted if a disaster situation never eventuates.
I just bought a solar powerbank too, which can charge stuff through a usb port, torches, camera etc.
I plan to buy a cast iron camp stove, I may not need it though since I have a indoor fire I can cook on. I live in the countryside so will have a base here, I can poach farm animals if I need to.
I need to buy some 2 stroke oil for my chainsaw too, without that the thing is useless.
So if you can, move to a rural area, even if it's just near the outskirts of a city.
Any other long term survival gear you guys recommend that's often overlooked?
