>>1146470For California you can do a lot of different things, either head down 101 and find camping in Shasta Trinity and Mendocino then head down along the coast (very difficult to camp for free anywhere South of Sonoma County), or you can stay East along I5 starting around Shasta and heading through Lassen, then get to HWY 49 on to Tahoe, and Yosemite. You can camp pretty much anywhere in the Sierras but a lot of it isn't developed and the minivan won't be able to get to prime spots. Either route is cool, that's a hard choice for someone visiting since it's a lot of time to do both and they are extremely different. This is Pismo, $8 to camp IIRC.
