>>350239Continuing on. The rain clouds were coming in (and it did rain a bit, but thankfully nothing torrential).
It was around here that I met someone else out hiking. I was walking up along the path, heading towards the slag heap and minding my own business when a rather loud rusting caught mine and the dog's attention off to our right. There's nothing for a good half a mile in that direction except for 7ft ferns and brambles.
So as we turned to look, a man appeared and he quickly spotted us.
Him: "Is there a path over there?"
Me: "Uh, yeah."
Him: "......... FUCK. I'VE BEEN WALKING UP THIS FUCKING MOUNTAIN. THROUGH THESE FUCKING BUSHES AND THERE'S A FUCKING PATH."
So the dog went down and showed him the path back to me (I don't know if that was the dog's intention, the dog probably just wanted attention) and the guy came up on the path and joined me. We were only together for about 5 minutes. He was heading off up the path to the top of the slag heap and I was cutting off to the right so that I didn't have to bother going over the top of it.
