>>1684942For my lease yes, there are more expensive, and there are some cheaper but not by much. But understand, I'm only allowed to be in my spot during hunting season. I dont have 4000 acres to do as I please. I manage my spots and that's it. So I have roughly 100 acres for each spot. But during the off season, I can ride around and goof off, but hunting other peoples spots without permission is not acceptable. East texas hunting is more about being out there with friends and family and enjoying nature, it's not really a trophy hunters paradise.
If you are just wanting some meat you can find meat hunts that will run you about the same price as a deer lease would for a yr and you dont have to worry about not shooting a deer for the year, and all the work that comes with it. I'll be honest, I just like to go in the woods and smoke and drink, sit by a fire, get some meat, and talk shit with my friends. I could care less if I shoot a huge buck every year.
