The forceps are nice for when you guthook a fish, but most of the time you end up killing the fish anyway by the time you get the hook out so just cut the line if you can't get the hook out without doing all this damage.
Bug spray is nice, I always have that with me. Sunscreen is for basement dwellers. I'm a bronze god so the sun just makes me more bronzed.
And for actual tackle, kinda depends where you are fishing and what you are fishing for. Go slow at first so you don't buy a ton of shit you will never use. Assorted aberdeen hooks, split shots, and bobbers will get you going with nightcrawlers and minnows or whatever bait you use. If you want to try a couple lures, Rapalas and inlines like Mepps or Rooster Tails will catch any predator fish provided you get the right size. Plus they are easy lures to use.
And look at tackle bags, they are so much better than the old-school boxes.
