I'm in NW Ontario. It's awesome, basically where the Great Lakes-St. Lawrence and boreal forest regions meet. We have areas of sugar maple, white pine, red pine, etc but mostly black spruce, jack pine, trembling aspen, and white birch.
150,000+ lakes and most of the land is public, so you can hunt, fish, forage, camp almost anywhere.
