>>2199562Last update so it's not frustrating to y'all. Took it out again last night and learnt that the embers and ash need to be managed more intensely than I thought. Once I was keeping the grate a the bottom clear, the fire was much less smokey and easier to manage. Plus I found only feeding one stick at a time rather than loads was much more effective than picrel.
