>>1395602>no bromo>>1395715brech nah... not for socal jetties. that method sometime work on out going rip tides off a point here. where trolleys and pulleys get used for bonito and pelagic off piers-n-points here. one needs to feel the subtle hali bump/bump. big ones will inhale a bait and just feel heavy on the line but smaller butts will tap then inhale. with passive rigs you miss that bump they feel the hook and spit it out. a limber tip on your rod helps to feel and absorb that bump/bump before you gut hook a short with the trap rig.
