How some refuse to use trekking poles because they make you look gay and then have endless boot threads about meme ass 'ankle support' when a stick (or two) solves all ankle problems? Not at all trying to downplay boots usefullness in scrub and underbrush but if you cant see that some folks refuse to use something that is useful purely because of self-image you haven't been here long.
