>>2604955Mepps are good for snakeheads and bass at dusk. With the hot water, you don’t want real big lures. A 6” worm on a ~1/4oz weight texas rig slowly along the bottom does good for bass this time of year. Look for weed patches and fish on the deeper end of the weeds, the bass like to hang out there so they can snag baitfish that come out of the weeds.
These Zoom lizards do wonders, there is some anon from TX who was always getting huge bass and he loved these things. Look for the 6” size in “Chartruese Pepper” and thank me later. Zoom baby brush hogs are really good too, go with something black or purple or dark blue in cloudy water, then go with something natural like watermelon in clearer water, and then the chartruese always does good in that clear but brown stained water.
