for tablets, you need to practice with a few to see what brands work for you and what each are capable of boiling/cooking. one tab might make a stew warm where another brand you need two just to boil water
I like wood burning stoves, and you can find a few good options that collapse for easier storage - and there are a few /out/ guides for making your own relatively easily and cheap
