I'm looking to get a bolt action rifle for hunting various things, that is cheap on ammo. Obviously the first choice for that would be .308 and while I do want somethung that is cheaper on ammo, I also want something that flies flatter than .308 does. I have done a lot of research and both .270 and .243 fly much flatter than. 308 flies and are still pretty cheap on ammo. But can't decide between buying a .270 rifle and a .243 rifle. I'm sorta leaning towards .243 only because .243 rifles seem fairly cheaper than .270 rifles. But I also have read about how powerful .270 is and that it can kill anything in north america.
Thoughts? Pros and cons? I really can't decide.
