>>282784Shit, toattly missed your post, and it's a good question.
For food I am mostly eating cold cuts of meat, bread, loads of nuts, fruit, veg and... chocolate. There is a 24 hour Tescos on the way back from work, so I stop in there. I'm training at the moment (the walk aside) so I eat a lot. Loaves of bread, a whole cooked chicken every 2 days etc so I never have more than 3 days of ready to eat food on hand.
I have a 20kg bag of rice and 10 days of canned emergency supplies. I wanted to be cooking rice meals already, but the weather, oh gawd the weather...
The weather has been so bad it was false heat-economy to shiver in the hurricane force wind cooking hot meals/drinks so I just ate and drank cold and read books in my sleeping bag. Actually used my Kelly Kettle (pic related, trekker model) for the first time last night. Works really well, will be using lots now that the weather has improved. I can only cook during certain hours of the day though, smoke would give away my position.
It has been below 5 degrees C every day at camp up until 3 days ago, so all my food was fine just left in the trunk. I will now dig a cold store pit under the spring for perishables. Kitchen hygiene: Washing up liquid (diluted down), stainless steal scrubber, elbow grease.
