>>1661676Hi anons, in a month I'm about to move into my first home that I actually own, and I want to be as self-sufficient as possible.
I've got about 50 m3 of ground I can work with right off the bat, and my parents and I have grown some stuff at my current house (pic related) so I'm not a total noob at this. What I'm really after is a good list of vegetables, fruits, herbs, and other stuff I can grow to make up a healthy diet and provide a year-round harvest.
Here's what I'm thinking of so far:
>lettuce>variety of tomatoes >snow peas>broccoli>carrots>potato>onions>cucumber>capsicum>spring onion>strawberries>chili >sage>basil>thyme>oregano>chivesFor reference, I live in south australia. The house already has a large lemon tree (needs pruning), and I'm considering the possibility of having fruit trees in my front yard for oranges, apples, avocados, and olives, but I don't really know what's involved in growing fruit.
Is there anything else I should add to my list?
