Something to try in those situations. Calmly state that aliens exist. Gets people's attention. Continue with, that you see them all around you everyday. Those people that have no idea how their home planet works. They are aliens. Could not survive in Nature for 24 hours. Gradually go into it. Just a concept, have fun and make it your own. The push back will happen, people are not fond of getting truth pushed right in their face. There will be silence for a period of time. In the end, they will learn and will respect you a bit more. Not a big rant, take it with a grain of salt. I have (we all have or will) dealt with these people. This is related to the thread, although I prefer looking at everyone's pictures.
