>>1481736>>1488143Got my two apple trees planted today: one honeycrisp and one red delicious. Both apple trees had some growth on them, the honeycrisp a little more so. I'm pretty happy with how the honeycrisp was delivered with a developed root system and numerous branches. The red delicious however, it came in a burlap sack as opposed to a pot; it didn't have an established root system and no real branches on it. I had to stake him since he's a little flimsier. I added a single layer of cardboard to prevent weeds from coming up and a couple inches of mulch around the plants. We'll see how they fair. Hopefully in the coming years they produce plenty of delicious, succulent apples!
The banana tree I still have to move to his new home, a giant, 24-inch pot. It's a dwarf cavendish, and it will produce bananas in a couple years, supposing I don't fuck it up.
