We hiked out with like 70 pound packs, and about 50 pounds of that was food and cooking equipment. We were resupplied twice by sea planes landing on lakes. We ate really well, until we got cocky and ate way too much and had to forage for the last few days.
I'm not sure how much resupply by sea plane costs, a pilot owed my friend a big favor so we got it at a large discount. But from what I understand that's usually the way it's done; other than hunting and foraging (which restricts you to lower elevations and is difficult even in summer) I can't imagine another way to stay supplied.
