New to fishing. Need to get myself geared up. Not going to go crazy right off the rip but want something that will be decently versatile. Most of my fishing will be freshwater rivers/lakes from my canoe although also some bankside casting. Buddy who lives fishing will be helping me out and showing me the ropes but wanted to see what y'all would recommend as a good pole and reel combo to get started with.
