Hijacking your thread because I have similar concerns. Trying to decide between two hammocks, both of which have integrated bug nets (prices in CAD):
>Hennesey Expedition Zip$215
1.2 kg
Includes a tarp, but from what I've read the tarp is on the smaller side and will only really cover the hammock itself
Setup requires learning a few knots
No adjustment to hang once set up
Snakeskins make setup and packing easier
>Warbonnet Blackbird single layer 1.6 with webbing/buckle suspension$238 (nowhere to get them easily in Canada so I may also get hit with duty fees)
0.62 kg
No tarp included (adds about $100 in cost)
No carabiners included (adds about $13)
Easier setup
Can adjust the hang once set up
From what I understand, both hammocks would also need an underquilt which will add about $150 to the cost. So I'm looking at about $365 for a Hennesey, and $501 for a Warbonnet. Is the $136 worth it to go with the Blackbird instead? Anyone have any thoughts on the Hennesey Expedition?
