Hair, toenails, little bits of poop, urine, menstrual fluid, snot, earwax, dead skin, etc. The top of the water even has a swirling oil slick on it from all the people's bodies and sunblock and shit. It's fucking gross.
Now living flowing bodies of water break down the gross shit and refresh in an ongoing biological cycle. Pool water is just fat fuck tea.
