Bear has more exciting shows and takes every excuse to eat/drink almost anything in his path.
Ray tries to show the viewer the beauty and intricacy of the environment he is in through interviews with natives are careful demonstration/explanation.
I'd say Ray is better for /out/. Bear is better for TV. Pic illustrates this, as we observe a survival off between the two.
As we can see, Bear has managed to hollow out the carouse of a badger for warmth and shelter. Where as Ray has constructed himself a theme park using bamboo and leaves, and is having a whale of a time!
