>>125541The way the stove works is
1. Have your pot 3/4 - 7/8 full of water ready.
2. Pour about 1 fluid ounce of denatured ethanol into the stove.
3. Light the alcohol with a match dropped in or a flaming twig lit by a lighter.
4. Preheat stage, where the fuel rises to a boil, creating alcohol vapor for the side jets. You don't put the pot of water on it yet, but you can hold it slightly above the stove and use some of that pre-heat energy.
5. Fuel is boiling, side jets fully flaming, put the pot of water down on the open top of the stove and leave it there, otherwise you get a big yellow flare up.
6. Wait for water to boil. Pic related. If the water comes to a boil just before your fuel runs out, you know you have your fuel/water ratio right.
