How long can you abuse a root system like that, does it ever give up?
I made the belly pretty much flat but it wasn't much wider than 3cm. There may also have been some slightly hollowed out knots where the cracks happened. The working parts of the limbs was extremely short too, they bent a shitload.
I thought you just had to brown it with the heatgun to harden it. Just shows I don't know it all.
