It used to be a relatively small suburb, with a lot of farms, forests and fields. Beautiful place, and my family owned a few acres of land away from all of the comotion of the big city.
That is not the case today. Nearly all of the forests and fields have been cut down or flattened to may way for pic related. No lawn, no garden, nothing but a copy/pasted (((house))), repeating without any variation as far as the eye can see. It feels like entropy.
Along with these houses came massive shopping centers, with hundreds of acres of parking lots. The big box stores killed the small businesses, and the disposable trash they sell lead to littering on an unbelievable scale. What little nature remains is now coated in trash.
At least in big cities there's a little bit of variation, places you can go that have character. But Laval... It's a wasteland
