The battery cells I found online somewhere. The lifepo4 cells with screw terminals on the end. They are about 120mm long and 40mm diameter. Four in series gives a good voltage for most ham gear. I have seen other operators (SOTA) use those car jump start packs pretty successfully. I may have gone over board on the capacity. The 12volt to USB outlet is good for charging all sorts of things, can even use it for lighting supply. The thing I like most is that I can finally go man-pack portable, although I have to stop and throw out a wire to get comms. Next step is to add FT8 on android to the station.
